Lorin Puebla, MS, ALC, NCC works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral concerns rooted in nervous system stress. Her clinical work focuses on presentations that feel persistent, automatic, or unresolved with insight-based or supportive therapy alone.

Lorin has extensive experience working with complex trauma, attachment-related challenges, and trauma-driven behavioral patterns, including work with foster and adoptive populations. Her background includes supporting children and families navigating emotional reactivity, regulation difficulties, and trauma-related transitions within family systems.

She practices as an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Anna Barksdale, MSCP, LPC-S, and continues to deepen her specialization in trauma-focused, neuroscience-based care with an emphasis on structured, ethically paced treatment.

Therapeutic Approach

Lorin’s approach is trauma-informed, neuroscience-based, and intentionally structured. Her work prioritizes nervous system regulation and focused trauma processing rather than insight alone. She utilizes evidence-based methods, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) as a core modality, within a phased model that emphasizes stabilization, readiness, and integration.

Treatment is carefully paced and goal-oriented, supporting meaningful and lasting nervous system change while reducing the risk of overwhelm or retraumatization.
